Jeff Cannon was raised in eastern North Carolina and has dedicated his career to serving the people of our community. While in law school, Jeff discovered his calling – to stand up for victims, protect families and pursue justice as a prosecutor. For nearly 15 years, he has done just that.
Jeff is a Board-Certified Specialist in State Criminal Law by the North Carolina State Bar which is a distinction earned by fewer that 4% of attorneys statewide. This certification recognizes his extensive experience, proven expertise and deep commitment to the pursuit of justice.
As a commonsense prosecutor, Jeff believes in being tough on crime while treating everyone with fairness and respect. He takes pride in meeting personally with victims, guiding them through the legal process and ensuring their voices are heard. His experience, dedication and compassion have earned him the respect of law enforcement, victims and colleagues alike.
Outside the courtroom, Jeff is deeply involved in the community. He enjoys coaching youth sports, assisting local Mock Trial teams and being active in his church. Jeff lives in Lenoir County with his wife, Jessi, their son Jennings and their dog, Buckley.
